Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find some answers to questions people often ask.  Please contact us directly if you have any further questions

  1. BOOKING PROCESS: To book please send a booking form from the link and then call or we will contact you.  A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. Our start days are; full payment is required 8 weeks prior to your stay.
  2. RENTAL PERIODS: Off-peak Monday, Wednesday and  Friday / during school holidays only Monday and Friday.  We can not offer other start days but you may leave at any time.  Weekend stays often leave Sunday night, sorry we do not discount for this. We do not sell 1 night stays at weekends.
  3. DEPOSIT: Upon arrival, we need a security deposit from all guests, with a credit or debit card.
  4. CHILDREN: Children are very welcome. We are a family friendly place
  5. BABIES and TODDLERS: We have travel cots and high chairs in each cottage
  6. SHARING: You do not have to share a cottage
  7. GUESTS: You may bring up to the specified amount of guests (not over) but don’t have to.
  8. PRICES: For prices please see the Our Prices page.  Christms and New Year is at the bottom of the list
  9. DOGS: Dogs are £30 each and must be pre-agreed – pai don arrival.  We accept up to 2 dogs.  Regrettably, we cannot accept large dogs
  10. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am.  Please do not arrive before 4pm as we will be busy with cleaning and maintenance, we do not “down tools” until 4pm. Most guests ask if they can arrive early and leave late, due to the magnitude of work, cleaning 6 cottages, a pool, 6 hot tubs, gardens etc, sorry cannot do it.
  11. SHARED POOL: The shared pool is open all day from 9am to 9pm normally.  We reserve the right to change this.
  12. GROUPS: Generally we do not accept all young male parties (please call).  We do accept all female parties.  High risk groups may require a higher security deposit/ card swipe.
  13. TOWELS: We provide towels and sheets but not pool towels.  These can be hard to dry in damp weather so we request you bring enough of these for your stay.
  14. CHANGING GUESTS: We do not accept change over of guests.  In other words, where you have some guest leave mid-week to be replaced by different guests. Only persons on the booking form are allowed to stay here and use our facility’s. We reserve the right to charge for extra guests even after you have departed.
  15. GROCERY DELIVERIES: Tesco & Asda regularly deliver shopping to our guests.  Please ensure you are around for the expected delivery.  The cottages have underfloor heating which means cold goods, etc can spoil
  16. DEALS: Wowcher, NE Deals, Groupon, etc are accepted but with terms and conditions and we only offer available dates
  17. KITCHENS: The cottages are equipped with cups, plates, glasses and utensils.  There are dish washers in each cottage but we do not supply tablets.  You also need to remember washing up liquid, a washing-up brush and cooking oil, should you require it
  18. BATHROOMS: We supply bathroom towels but not shampoo, soap or toilet paper.  Please bring these with you.
  19. INTERNET: Each cottage has Wifi access.  The password is on the notice board in each cottage
